Hi, i looking to DIY a low stand for my 4x2x2ft tank.

Table top (120cm x60cmx3cm)

Do u guys think this stand will work?

i thought perhap u should be using wood that r water proof , something like chengai .. strong and lasting

so interesting! the wood looks kind of "soft" though.. what if the weight causes the stand to eat into the wood over the months? if this works, we just found an alternative to expensive stands.. if it doesn't, we're a step closer in the right direction. :)

Bro, unless the flat top is made of solid one piece of wood & not some compressed pulp.

What if another piece of styrofoam is laid on top of the table top

TS go find/buy a used cabinet/stand for yr tank, cause after few mths or years of water change some water may drip or trap inside the "ikea" wood(u never know). The tank may drop/fall(no joke)

Just my 2cents;)

I'm the TS, where can I find a low stand? Roughly around 20cm tall

Bro, what is most crucial is whether the structure can take the entire weight cum pressure from the tank over a long period of time.

That's a Low profile metal stand(height wise u must go check), ask wee yang from N30 or other tank maker for quote(if u want new ones) or search for used ones from forum(cheaper way).

Ask already, around $148.
