Where to Repair LED Light
I bought a rainbow 5ft LED red colour light less than a year ago. It was turned on for about 4 days in a week for 16 hours each day. It spoilt a few days ago. I did not have the receipt so I don't have the warranty. I'm so frustrated that it spoilt within a year.
Any bros here know where to repair the lights, or is it even worth repairing at all. I bought it for around 90 bucks. If it is better to buy a new LED lights, which brand is reliable? Please advice. Thanks. https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/94...537/V6JwgN.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/32...673/0bDhQT.jpg |
Probably sim lim tower.

In most cases, it is the driver/power supply for a LED lightset is faulty, not the chips.
You can buy a replacement driver/power supply easily. Can't see clearly but the power adapter should be 12W. Buy those 230Vac, not those auto range from 80Vac to 240Vac type. |
If you have a multi meter, you can check whether there is any output from the adapter.

So bring g it to Sim Lim is better?

Thats y I buy qianhu tanning light as my main light , v bright. And waRrenty 1yr no qns ask.
Sea view gave me the best price. Issue go qianhu w receipt. Power supply at $20 at qianhu , even after 1 yr , cheap immediate replacement. Just my cents worth comments . |
Unable to see the connector from the adapter output to the tube. Just bring along the adapter to sim lim to look for something similar or a simple DIY if connector unable to match. Nowadays, some neighbourhood 5 gold shop also got sell.

Ok thanks. I think I'll bring to Sim Lim and seek advice. Hopefully can get it repaired.
I just can't believe a $90 LED product can't last more than a year. Must as well buy back the regular lights as they last longer and the energy consumption on electrical bill won't cost that much more than LED lights each month. |
get the adapter with same voltage and current rating you should be save...
if you are daring enough, open the casing and see if there are any fuse in the adapter and see if the fuse is blown or not.. |
