There are some people who use chillers for their kois in Singapore, though it may not be bulking up fish, it can be used by fish farms to acclimatize fish more easily and faster during shipments as the fish are shipped in cold water.

With chiller at the temperature between 22 to 27 degree, the koi tend to eat more and more active.
Depending on how big your pond volume, you may require 1 to 2 chillers of 3 Hp. |

My friend koi pond does use chiiler and so do many koi keepers ponds that i visited.
Temp normally ard 22-26c. At this temperature, koi metabolism is not so high and thus will grow more mass and retain its colour better. |
