Default Is this normal for ray?

Hi all,

I juz purchased a new ray from a bro. Today is 3rd day i brought it back but still not eating....there some patches with lighter color on the ray....is this normal?



Any input is appreciated.

a. How many rays do u have in this tank?
b. What is the diet of this ray when you bought from the bro?
c. Can u take a clearer picture? Look like scatches to me...
d. Does it stand in one corner and not moving around?

hi bro,

a.Im having 3 rays 2 male 1 female...currently...selling away 1 so would be 1 male 1 female.

b.The ray eats MP when i bought from the bro...

c.i will try take a clearer pic when i get a DC from my sis

d. yea it stays one corner and not swimming veri often...it will swim ard time to time but not alot.

Isit stressed? Or wat is happening? coz the other 2 are eating like no tml

its probably stressed in new enviroment. those whitish area looks like scratch marks, probably from the other 2 ... did u see u feeding before taking back?

is your water in tip-top condition ...? might take a few more days for it to adapt in the new place. also, watch if the other 2 still harass it...

Hi bro,

The owner did feed. But too many was eating so nt sure did he really get to eat anot. The water is ok juz nitrate is ard 50ppm i did a 20% water change this morning with aged water...How long can it last without food?

Like bro Naser said..... new to environment.... maintain water parameter... new friends and new friends hostile towards his/her presence..... thus got the scratch mark...monitor closely ....till it starts feeding..
