Help needed identifying snail in tank
Hi bros,
Need some help indentifying what this snail is. Recently noticed about 3 in my nano planted setup and I definitely did not put them there. Probably got into the tank when I put in plants. They have brownish/green shells and spend alot of time on the glass/leaves of plants. Are these snails dangerous to plants and should I take action to remove them? Have attached a picture below. |

they looks like normal pond snails to me. yes, they will eat your plants and better to remove them asap.
by the way, they breeds very fast. |

You can use puffers to eat the snails. Removing by hand is harder as some snails will confirm be hiding somewhere where you hand cant reach.

Or u can put assassin snails. Puffers can be aggressive and attack other fish. Assassin snails on the other hand, generally only attack snails.

I have them in my tank, one tank with tetra, so i leave it to breed. Another in CRS tank but trapped inside breeding box as it helps to clean my plant off dead leaves etc in the breeding box. :P
