Homemade Fish feed
inspired by a local LFS....i intend to do my own Fish feed !
this is what i plan to mix, do share with me if there is anymore goodies( Vitamins) i can add for my fishes.
I will chop the meat into bit pieces and mixed everything. Freeze them in a Ice cube mould and feed a cube each day ! Will it work ? |

Interesting topic. When the ice cube melts, the ingredients will break loose and all fly around the tank. Will be messy. I have no experience in this but would like to learn too. I have seen people use gelatine to make the food into gel so that they are less messy and the fish get to eat all of the nutrition food easily.

You can blend some of your indegrientd and add some chopped up small chunk of meat instead of all been blend into paste. Add unflavored gelatin to keep them together rather than flying everywhere in the tank and created a mess.

I usually blend the ingredients until it becomes a paste and put in zip lock sandwich bag then freeze it. Once frozen, I take the piece that I need to feed the fish and place on a steamer. This will bind the ingredients preventing it to spread in water.
