New 450g Tenecor Acrylic for Rays and Aro
After a very long wait, my 450gal Tenecor arrived early Jan. It took me another 1 1/2 weeks (few hours each night) with lots of cuts and bruises to show for. The cabinet is 30" had very little room for me to work inside assembling the sumps. After a few leaks and re and re's I've finally got it up and running just now. Still have a few small leaks that I've tried a few times to reinstall but no go so I'm just leaving it with a small tupperware container under it...I'll empty it every few days...really is small! besides, back hurts and all that goes to putting this monster together!...If you can I'd strongly advise you to get the highest possible stand....I could only get a 30" to get through my door!...sigh....anyways....too tire to even look at the tank right now...it's quite loud so need to install the silencer in the overflow another night.....
Sump is 60x18x20, with 2 Reeflow Snapper 18 pumps, smart 50watt UV Sterilizer, 1500w Blueline Titanium heater c/w Ranco Controller, tank is tenecor 8x3x2.5 upgraded preminum package with 1" thick acrylic....now on with the cycling and then tenants moves in...... Tenants: 12" diameter Black Diamond ( 1 male / 2 female ) 12" diameter King Henlei Male 12" diameter Female Henlei 9" diamter Leo ( 1 male / 1 female) 12" Tigrinus 17" Super Red Aro Going to reduce bio load by selling off the pair of Leo.... holding tank ready for transfer to 450 in a couple of weeks. Getting to swim across to their new home http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TT2aW3jVhmI |

I will eventually be filling the sump which is totally enclosed with momotaro bakki house media once I get my hands on them...but in the mean time the bioballs together with eheim media will be the main meda.... |
