2011-300G/H
2012-400G/H 2013-500G/H 2014-600G/H 4 a 2012, it is recommended 1500l/h. but many reefers(including barra, if i'm not wrong) go 4 a slightly higher rated pump. i conducted a trial is found tat is true. suggest u go 4 a at least 1800l/h pump. do not set the water level as stated, rather bring it higher 4 better performance... right, barra?? |

i ever came 2 know a few reefers using 2500l/h on their 2014, like wat bro reddevil mentioned.. but think 3000l/h might b too much 4 a 2014,IMO(not too sure, i might b wrong) |

i'm not good at recommending a better skimmer 2 u as i feel tat almost all skimmer r the same(statement excludes those higher-end skimmers like beckett, H&S, Eaqua.....) i once used a red sea prizm, prior 2 buying i tot it shd b a good 1. but it skims too slow n too little. i bought a 2013 2 'chiam si dong' after selling off the prizm n b 4 making a good upgrade. guess wat, it skims real good n up till now still very happy with it. today i juz went 2 a reefer hse n looked at his sps tk. it was like 'wwooooww' the moment i saw it. he is oni using a marco n yet can keep his sps beautifully. think i'm getting a bit long winded.. |
