Clown Loach affliction/death
I just lost 3 CLs over the week, out of a school of 12.
Cause of death I am still trying to determine as the school is feeding well and out of the blue, one will be dead. Outward signs wise, there are only a few white patches on the dead CL. I have previously lost an entire batch via this individual deaths, over a period of a month despite adding salt/changing water. Looks like it is back to haunt me (and the CLs) again. Any bros have experienced this before? Any help/advise given will be much appreciated. |

How much salt did you add? Did you add water conditioner during wc? Clown loaches are pretty sensitive to salt as well as chlorine.

I rarely add salt into that particular tank. None for the last 2 mths actually. Anti-chlorine and chloramine is added for all wc.
Actually threw some Melafix in last night, hoping that it is able to help |

Could it be ICH ?
ICH attacks scaleless fishes especially CLs. Cure for ICH is to heat up water to 30 deg for up to 7 days, let the parasites drop from the fish body and die. Quote:

Nope, not ich as there is an absence of white spots. Wish it was that as it will be so much easier to treat
