New to Marine and need help ID

Hi all,
I just ventured into keeping Marine after i caught this fish out in the sea last sat and decided to bring it home.
Can anyone help to ID it? Its currently about 1inch big

And ID of this Seahorse as well, is it a Tiger tail seahorse? Thanks

Making a guess for pic1, Banded perch (Terapon theraps). I believe the fish is juvenile state, so the bands is quite prominent. i may be wrg.

If correct guess got prize?

good guess i think, don't see many of those around my parts so couldn't tell you much from personal experience.


the seahorse looks like a stressed out h. kuda.
mod, you plan on keeping them together ?

Ok that small fish looks like the Banded Perch, thanks

I was planning to keep them together but after today's feeding I realised that the perch is too freaking fast. I had to flood the tank so the Seahorses could eat. Next week I will separate them into different tanks.

Is it easy to train seahorses to eat frozen food?

it will take sometime but its quite possible

to me your seahorse is a tiger tail seahorse , as for training them to eat frozen food , this can be done by mixing bits of frozen food with the live food and gradually increasing the amount of frozen food offered,the food must be kept in motion by aeration or manipulation.

unique and nice fish you have... looks like a zebra haha..
