Keeping male inside fries tank?

Have you ever tried keeping the male inside the fries tank until the fries are grown up(before it starts to fight)?

Is is better for the fries as in:
1) The fries are more well take cared? i.e. less death rate..
2) Better colour than letting the fries grow up independently?
3) Male finishes up uneaten food. i.e. cleaner tank?
4) More father love as they haven't seen their mother before.

Anyone tried that before?

i think for some of the more caring males they will keep putting the fries back in the enst not allowing them to free swim so the fries will starve to death

well, i think before the fries grow they all kena eaten liao

eric chua is doing that... looks effective... and the father nv eat the fries, imbellis... in case u dunno hu is eric chua.. he is the owner of the overall champion marble female during the bcs comp...

i find that leaving the male there will be able to prevent them from fighting till about 4-5 months. He's able to more or less subdue them.

The only disadvantage is that the male will eat the food that are suppose to be for the fries and many a times, you will have to provide them with much more.

just my 1cents worth of thoughts....

I ever saw Derrick doing it, quite effective as being told by him.

Serious ah... Hmm... Actually, after taking out my male, i purposely put a few fries inside his own tank. And surprisingly, he doesn't eat them at all.

but for how long the fries stay with their father?

going to try this concept with my new spawn, maybe it might prove to be better.

I prefer to put the male inside the tanks. He actually will looks after the fries.
Yesterday, 1 tiger barbs from my upper tanks jumped into the tank of fries. Luckily got the male inside, he killed the tiger barbs. If not, all my fries gone liao.
I also discover that whenever I put male inside to look after the fries, blood worm doesn't grow so much. Blood worm also attack bettas fries when they are still young..

Just my 2 cents worth experience..
