Default StarFish eating Shrimp

There is this kind of shrimp (some LFS call it crab) which feed only on star fish,
may I know what is the actual name?
and what is the trick in keep one of them? does it only take live star fish, or there is any alternate food source to this?

harlequin shrimp, they feed on starfish and nothing else

Its called the Harlequin Shrimp.And yes it takes only starfish,no other food..
There are ppl who feed it those sand sifting stars and as a result they die,bcause their natural diet is those brightly coloured Linckias.
So if u wanna keep one u have to ensure a steady supply of those linckias

I saw them for sale before at Y934, look like some "flower". Very nice. No way to make them eat other stuffs like fish or shrimp meat?

As far as i know, harlequin shrimps feed exclusively on starfish. Their very specialized feeders as with a number of marine livestock that are sold in our local market.

they are not at least interested in anything else other than starfish. had a pair b4 and found out they eat starfish by chance when introducing starfish caught. since then, had to hunt for starfish under rocks at kallang area.

Last time feed them with sand shifter starfish bought from reborn. Cost $3/- each.
