how did u know that she is down with parasite??? did some diagnoistic test? she is really unique and 1 of the best BD ard... will make a great couple with daland's haha

i do not know if it is the same for rays.
but most animals have parasites within their body( passed from their parents to the offspring) just that they are mostly suppressed by the immune system.

but once the immune system of the animal is down, the parasite is able to breed very rapidly and do its damage on the animal.

That's why discus keepers deworm their discus quarterly

After examining all possibilities, this was the most likelihood. Caretaker confirmed it.

That's what the caretaker told me as well.
He suggested that esp for small rays (non-adult), its good to de-parasite the tank every 6 mths.

a realy beut marshy.. and i guess you can go and buy some toto or something like that..sure strike one.... ..not everyday a sick ray will come back healthy..especially the small ones..
