Loss of aro and tankmates
Hi All,
This afternoon ard 1.30pm rec'd news from home that there was a main power failure in my blk which affected many units. Rushed and reached home at 3pm to find all my fishes still alive, but struggling for survival although my OC did a 30% water change as instructed. Quickly searched and fixed up a battery operated air pump and thrown in the tube with air stone. Upon seeing all the fishes, especially the rtg aro swimming freely, tot everything will be ok in a short while. About 10 mins later and to my astonishment, found the aro floating at the surface and many of the smaller fishes have turned upside down in the tank bottom. By then, it was too late to save the aro as the battery from the pump was depleted.... Lesson learnt, never assume things will be ok and nothing will happen....haiz... Casualties - 15" rtg, 6-7" pb x4, 10" tsn and 8-9" yellowish with red eyes catfish (auction pc). Survivals - 13-15" pb x6, 13-14" jaguar cichlid x2, 6" patin x2 n 7" tfb.
