In order to compete and sell higher price, breeders have to create more beautiful rays. I suppose they do so by crossing the different type of black rays P12, P13 and P14. Example, to get more spots - use the P14 gene, to get bigger spots - use the P13 gene with big spots, the under belly and so on. After few generationsof selective breeding, it is difficult to judge the pureness.
Big spots henlei is also P12, BD is also P13, Galaxy is also P14...they are all black rays. We can never complete this discussion while the breeders are still researching and continuing to create more beautiful rays. Best is see the ray, nice pay more, so so pay less and not nice don't buy, is as simple as that. Most importantly don't over stretch yourself. Regards |
