Unless you have a very big tank and lots of vegetation, shrimp usually don't mix well with fishes.

I think what he meant was that if your shrimps were to breed, the shrimplets will be eaten up by the fish. Unless you say you will remove the shrimplets everytime the shrimp gives birth?
