low CO2 Not No CO2.
clarification again.
Low CO2 , Not No CO2...All plants need CO2...its their food. low maintanence plants, vals (see my gallery), amazon swordplants, hornwort, hydrilla, cabomba, water wisteria, All kinds of mosses. if u can provide enough fishes to provide the CO2 needed by the plants, they will live long and reproduce. check the following website: http://naturalaquariums.com/ Quote:

How come a thread regarding aquascape criticism turned to debates on C02 fertilisation? You can always post a thread up to discuss it
JieSheng, I'd agree with higher, HC contrasts well with the rock's colour imho. Take that picture properly and post it up... I'm betting some will think that it's a much bigger tank than it actually is. |

Thanks for helping out Terrence. Much appreciated.
Tanks can look much bigger by means of good scaping techniques and photography. My tanks in the gallery are tiny, but i do think they appear larger than they are. |

thanks for comments
hey all,
thanks for the comments. I believe E. Triandra and HC has the same colour. Except that the latter's leaves are so much smaller and hence gives the tank a possible sense of "bigness". however, as i have since been forced to work for my hobby (that bad eh ) i don't have much time to look after the plants. i chose APP because previously, i left them in a balcony tank, they didn't die but somewhat crept. and the fact that the tank has only about 2.5 litres of water, i daren't risk using using, a much more expensive plant. On another note, Dragon hart, it is possible to get planted tanks consisting of plants other than you have mentioned actually. As Mr Tom Barr has put it before (as well as many other hobbyist i have talked to), without injecting CO2 into the tank, growth rate just becomes 3-4 times slower. finally, i will say i would have to let the tank live and die on its own. And thanks for the comments and help offered. regards jiesheng |

just some examples
just friendly discussions not debate lah.
btw those are just examples of plants i have tried..i do know there are a lot more plants that will survive and thrive without articificial CO2 injection. as a matter of fact, there are no artificial CO2 injection in nature...and all nature are from nature. so in fact all water plants can do without artificial CO2 injection. as u mentioned , only difference is the growth rate. btw Who is "Tom Barr"? got website, i would like to learn from him too. thanks.
