That's what I heard as well. No confirmation though. Everything will be clear on Sat.

You coming to the show?

1st part info got other version. not appropriate to disclosure here.

This new is going to kill the show...many dealers encouraged their customers to participate with the assurance that foreign judges will be invited. This made the dealers difficult to answer to their customers now, and not sure how the club will get future support from dealers.

many hobbyists joined the show thru Dealer name, bec we are not member of koi club, so cannot participate.
Never know the entries has increased(lost touch with the circle already). The time I left the club, I noticed the drop in entries and left only a few big players and dealers joining the competition. We will see the usual few people winning the trophies and everything seem SOP already. The people attending the show also see a decrease, not like the time between 1997-2003 when you see many people going to such shows and most of the judges are certified judges from japan. Almost all the different varieties of koi got entries from 13bu to 85bu and above.

Maybe they should change the rules for competition so that club members and non members can join, but at a different entry price. That may increase the number of people to join. Any one want to bring it up to the Committee for consideration?

I'm one of those new comer that start keeping Koi late last year.

I was looking forward to the Koi show and learn a few things there but...

1. The Koi Club website is down? Cannot access.
2. There is no flyers or banner at Koi farms, dealer to promote the show.
3. When there is no advertisment or activities, how would newbies know? Unless it is exclusively for the "big players" only....
And if that's the case, then I assume small fry like me cannot even go see the show liao...
