In order to compete and sell higher price, breeders have to create more beautiful rays. I suppose they do so by crossing the different type of black rays P12, P13 and P14. Example, to get more spots - use the P14 gene, to get bigger spots - use the P13 gene with big spots, the under belly and so on. After few generationsof selective breeding, it is difficult to judge the pureness.
Big spots henlei is also P12, BD is also P13, Galaxy is also P14...they are all black rays.
We can never complete this discussion while the breeders are still researching and continuing to create more beautiful rays.
Best is see the ray, nice pay more, so so pay less and not nice don't buy, is as simple as that. Most importantly don't over stretch yourself.

Regards

Well said .. I don't really particular on pure breed .. but I do have some pure blood in my breeding pool ( I think It is a must ). I like those monster hybrid some are more beautiful than a normal Black ray..For the price .. Lets market decide ..buyer feel price ok then tapao , not ok don't tapao loh ..no hard feeling (but sometime price still can "chamsiong" one lah just be nice to breeder u might get some special offer )

It is damn hard to produce such nice hybrid, thus wont be cheap lah. However, many will use hybrid as an excuse to "press" price so they can buy cheap. End of the day, breeders so angry just create a nice name like rayal galaxy lah, big big spots pdr lah, so as to sell at much much higher price. But buyers love it leh
"press" price than breeder don't sell lor, not every pcs come out like that ma. If it's mould out in a mass production factory than must sell by per kilograms..

I won't comment on royal galaxy or big spot pdr cos after all it's still black rays..

Buying pure classis you can creat your own black hybrids and at the same time can also choose get pure pups. Or we jump start to buy hybrid of f1 or 2 and mix with pure. This will be fun and interesting for hobbyist too. If lucky you get one "superd" hybrid black ray. A tokong and only ONE kind looking black hybrid may not come cheap and will be likely more expensive than a pure one. Will this be the trend in future ray keeping?

I buy you kopi, can i "chamsiong" for 32% discount
