Default Something interesting I saw.....

Just sharing with some of the bros here, I saw this 2 days back at one of the local farms here. A beautiful Xback produced about 60 fries......needless to say, the afore-mentioned Xback was pretty big! Enjoy the pics, pai seh about the bad pic quality as I'd shot them with my HP.

Thanks, FYI, it's Nokia N80 (I don't work for Nokia so this isn't a shameless plug)

As for it being young, not really true as I've seen harvest whereby you don't even see the little fries, just a dark spot on each eggs.....these are tougher to take care of. The yolk sag should be absorbed by the little fries in 1-2 weeks' time and I'll update with pics of the little 'uns swimming around. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, there should be little to no attrition........also, the parents are a pair of beautiful Xbacks which resembles PHG with shiney gold scales..........very nice indeed! FYI, AVA officials were present to verify the fish tag and number of eggs/fries laid so this was officially documented.

BTW, is this a lot for a single fish? About 60 firies at one go......I've only heard of XBack producing 30-40 eggs/fries at a single go. Quite noobish at this sort of thing as I'm still learning about aros....
