Hybrid becomes pure BD?

Hi, need experts opinion on this. I bought a hybrid Ray from C328. Now he's grown to abt 10" and look like a pure BD. Will the black base turn lighter once he reached maturity? Any possibility the the fish farm got mixed up when they were young?
I know the possibility is almost zero..

Hybrid will never become pure BD. However, some hybrid may look identical if not better then normal BDs and are highly sort after.

Nowadays its hard to tell if a BD is really pure or not as there are too many high quality hybrids out there. Thus just buy what you like and be happy with it.

If base is black it normally will not change lighter. If lighter base normally will turn dark base as it grows.

Just my 2 cents.

There are various tell sign of a ray of it is pure or not including the eyes, the spots, the tail, shape and etc..

Farm should have the ability too also because most of the farm will know where the batch of rays come from.

It is normally when Ray grow older to darken when the pup has black breed within. Enjoy your day keeping most importantly.

Doesn’t matter if it’s hybrid or bd , some of the hybrid is even better looking than bd ... most important is you love the ray can Liao ...

It will not become pure again. Can be seen if u breed it. Can see from its offspring
