Basic Reefkeeping

It is important to do as much research as possible before committing to this hobby.

Welcome to this hobby, readup on deep_end's article to get a brief overall understanding of marine fishkeeping. From there, make a decision on what you roughly want. We would be in a better position to advise you.

Firstly, there is no hard and fast rule about marine fishkeeping. We have so many types of systems that we can adopt or even adapt to suit our needs. Its not possible to come up with a fixed step by step guide on setting up a saltwater tank as there can be too many variations along the way.

A fishtank is just like your computer. When your tank crash(OS crash), its time to cleanup(reformat hard drive) and setup(install OS) again and add new livestock(re-install software).
