Default reef octopus over flow box

anyone used the above overflow box or any others with gd results ??? dun wish to drill a hole but need to create overflow to sump below...

Existing 6' tank (converted from a Aro tank) is using the overflow box and has no problems for the past 5 years ie it goes down to the sump.

The only catch you have to be aware is to ensure that there is also water in the overflow box to create a siphon in the event of a water change otherwise you got to re-siphone the flow again manually.

Fyi, I am using a DIY overflow box ...

Hi I've been thinking of getting a tank with an overflow pipe when I chanced upon your post.

Care to share how you constructed your overflow box bro?

it has been almost 4 yrs and let me dig out some pics which I had taken before and post.

Stay tuned or you can pm me to arrange for a "eyeball to eyeball" session with my diy overflow box.
