3 fire and 2 harlequin shrimp??? thats money down the drain bro. as for the starfish i thought the harlequin shrimp feed on them? maybe it was killed by the shrimp.
i think i would do 50% water change at least with RO water mixed with reef salt or just order in filter seawater. in the meantime i would feed the corals zooplankton |

Bro, u mean the fire will eat the harlequin?.......I did a 30% water change with sea water........the water was tested fine but it seems all except 1 coral recover.........
Question : Will corals recover from shocks? as in water quality?....... Also, I am thinking of removing my nemos because they have been playing so much with a green "ball" coral that is has lost colour and almost dead......... |

actually the harlequin shrimp will eat the starfish. it is part of its diet in the wild. Yes corals will recover when water quality improve, they are tougher than most of us imagine. for a quick solution to water quality, you can order in filtered seawater. can go coral farm in lim chu kang and buy. $4 for 20 liter, they can pack in bag for you.
the green bal coral is the bubble anemone, i think it is their natural home in the reef for the clown. the condition for the anemone shouldnt be the clownfish doing, clownfish are generally reef safe. i think maybe you need to check your water or just put in some additives, dont put too much, it will kill your fish. happen to me before. :-) |
