You could think of having a refugium within the sump tank. Do note that the design would be different from the regular freshwater tank with a portion not having the bottom up flow. Good area to put your microalgae and growing pods as additional snacks for your livestock.

Didn't know there a name for it. Custom made will have come into place...still planning.
