Feedback from PUB dated 18th Nov 2011
Hi All,
***** Start of Extracted email from PUB ***** Dear Sir, Thank you for your feedback. The chlorine level in drinking water is being monitored on-line continuously at our waterworks pumping main and distribution networks. The close monitoring is to ensure sufficient residual to prevent bacteria re-growth as chlorine level will vary due to varying system demand and retention time. The residual chlorine at customer taps is generally below 2 mg/l. The measurement unit for water quality parameters are in mg/l unless otherwise stated. It is indicated at the top left column of the Potable Water Quality table below as "Chemical & Physical Characteristics (In mg/l where applicable)". http://www.pub.gov.sg/general/waters...Treatment.aspx Regards PUB One Officer for DIRECTOR TECHNOLOGY & WATER QUALITY OFFICE ***** End of Extracted email from PUB ***** |
