Ray safe method to reduce pH

My ray has gone thru this cycle since Mar till now....

March - ph5.5
shift pond....started at 7.6
by April..
pond drop to 6.8
May...shift pond..
pH at 7.7
now...7.2


They are not that sensitive actually....but pls condition them well when shifting....personally...I think temperature is more important.

Bro.. at ph5.5 the rays still eating normally?

My exp.. once drop below 6... the appetite will change.

The ray are eating normal at all the pH.

You have to ensure all other water parameter in your water are good for the ray.

I don't really measure the pH etc, it was only when I was shifting them out, then realised that they have been kept in pH 5.5 water!

logically shld not be eating normally at 5.5 ph. If for short period of time, is ok, for mid to long term, dont think ideal for rays.

PH affect bb effectiveness, effectiveness drop, water quality drop and other water issue. eg. the toxicity of chloramines is affected by PH, more toxic at low ph (on the assumption that using antichlorine that is not so potent)

Many many yrs back, when I were still a newbie, I did kept rays in low PH. They r ok for many months no issue, but unknowingly, the rays health r deteriorating as we go along, so when time is up, u see ur rays been buried 1 by 1.
