For my young rays i will check PH 2 times a week and ammonia once every 2 weeks this is because they are growing in size & will start producing more waste.. just need to make sure my filter can keep up with this. Sometimes i will need to add abit of "BB" .. little paranoid but i guess it's what makes the hobby!

Nice rays bro! You can consider investing in a ph meter to monitor the PH values to avoid PH fluctuation.
