I am so glad I did not rush into anything. Guess I should be Googling and reading up on the shrimps more before venturing. It was a good decision to ask here first too!

Don't get those torture chambers! I still can't accept the idea of eating shitting sleeping in a tiny confined room all my life.

There are quite a lot of good info on shrimp keeping which you can find here and online. Like some shared, it's what you like. Go to some shrimp shops and have an idea of what's available in the market today, maybe ask about their requirements, do your homework before deciding.

I'll be keeping them in a 2 feet tank if I am getting them

Best way to start is cycle your tank well before adding shrimp, good water is healthy shrimp.
