I keep mine with an African Arowana, Giraffe Cats, small Bichirs, a Gold Line Wolf and a Giant Gourami.

hi pnt experts,
my 10-year-old pnt suddently developed this thing on its shell. for a weeks already, shell rot? initially i thought it was fungal put my ocean free anti bacterial and anti fungal treatment but no use. btw, is it a male or female? |

Looks v much like fungus to me. Try the yellow powder it helps for me when my PNT is down with a fungus infection much severe than this.
Take it out of the water, pat dry then apply salt then yellow powder on the affected areas then when. Scalps form u can leave it in water to heal normally. Looks like a male to me. How did it get infected? Kanna bitten by its tank mates? |

Check your water parameters. Definitely fungus. Take it out of water, apply fine salt and leave it it of water for ~1-2 hours for 3-4x a day. Bask it for ~0.5-1 hour each time.

What type of salt? Kitchen salt? Can't be aquarium salt right cos that's too coarse? Confirm its a male? Not sure how it got the fungus. |

There are fine aquraium salt available bro.

Either kitchen salt or fine aquarium salt.
Fungus on PNTs are usually due to poor water condition. I will say 80% it's a male. |
