Unlikely they will die of hunger for that few days. I used New Life THERA+ Lg. Fish Formula for my recent spawn of L333. Until now they still cannot take Hikari Sinking Carnivore pellets, they are about 40 days old now. To add on, I think many bros should have better suggestions

Sifu, that one quite a painful method lah.... 8P
Here are more pictures of the wrigglers. In this picture you can see a comparison of the two fellas. You can also tell the crooked caudal tail. I would have already cull this guy were it not for the fact that there are only two in my tanks! Overhead view. You can also see odontodal growth on around the caudal tail area. Under belly shot. Can see hints of organs in the area just under the sucker. The heart used to be seen in this area too. Probably moved back further the body cavity. Front face shot. See the continual growth of the evil spikes! Side view. Head shape looks interesting from this angle. Very unlike the typical Hypacistrus shapes I'm used to. The typical broad looking caudal is already a miniture version of the adults. Spikes just behind the head also very obvious. The "cull's" deformed tail can been seen clearly too. And its very obvious he's eye-ballin' me in the picture! Son of a gun! Last edited by SoToNgMaN; 18-06-2009 at 08:09 PM. |

The overall looks so interesting and alienated, especially the head which is so small and short, looks so different from the parents.
I duno if all pseudas have 14 caudal rays n 7 for the dorsal but this is definitely interesting. I could literally count them one by one from your photography skills. I did a count on all my fishes, only 1 of them have 12 caudal rays. Can this be another species or a genetically defect. |

Another update on Day 18:
1 wriggler did not make it. He is developing much slower than his siblings. They are still not eating pellets. However, i could see some small shit after i added in a small piece of DW inside for them. Ironically, they did not hid there. They still prefer to squeeze together at a corner. TS came for a photoshot. Now its waiting for him to update us on the progress of the fries. |
