Good luck in pumping them up. All live food have risks of disease, so, it is best to care for them as if they are your favourite fish.

After much trawling the Net to find old write ups on keeping tubi clean n alive n most importantly free of parasites, i finally stumbled on a good write up back in 1999.

Cut to the chase, the current method i used is not entirely the same as the original write up but it seems to be working fine.

The hardware you will need:
A2 liter container, with 2-3 inches in height
A small cooling fan
An active carbon filter
Fine sand, about 2 mm height
A starter tubi 50 cents worth

Do daily water change, once in the morning and another in the evening
Feed with powdered food like spirulina or hikari first bite

Change the filter wool at leat once a month.

The setup like this keeps the tubi cool, and water clean. I noticed the water do not smell bad easily but you need to control not to over feed.

Lots of work but i guess this is the best bet to get quality tubi..

No worries. Btw, I found another effective way to keep tubi.

Use a satellite tank hook up to a main tank, if you have a main tank of 1'5" will be ideal.

No need to change water and just need some feeding with fish food.

It would not effect your water condition in your main tanks? You tried?

i just keep my tubi in shallow tray of water and change the water at most twice a day. They stay alive until i finish feeding all of them. At the start, water foul up quicker and need water change twice a day, after a few days when some of the worms die off, the water hardly get dirty and changing the water once in a few days is even possible.

yeah, i tried. the main tank is a planted tank and filtered with an external canister.

amount of tub in satalite tank need to be calibrated, taking into account of the main tank filtering system, of course.

choice of feed is either fish food or spirulina. i have since stop since i don't have a big wild betta and my tank of adult brine shrimp tank is doing very well
