Just a finding...when buying acrylic try to buy plexi glas...i tried 2 types of acrylic...the normal type i got from those photoframe shop and two from ying kwang who sold plexi glas...
The normal acrylic i used started bending less then a week i place it in my tank and the plexi glas i used for months with no sign of bending. Just my finding. Cheers |

[QUOTE=Occellatus;9419559]Did an ivory coloured base for my son's 3ft tank. Find the colour not too bad. Not exceptionally bright and yet not too dark. Looks alil like natural sand.[QUOTE]

plexi glass is also a type of acrylic from what i know. Bent because of what im not sure. It's together with the rest of the acrylic which i bought as plexi glass from ying kwang which consist of 1 big one and 1 small one. Both of the plexi glass are still doing fine as the big one is in my tank for nearly 1/2 year but the normal transparent acrylic i got from those photo frame shop after a few days can see visible bending at the corner area. All using 3mm thickness only. Also plexi glass is ard same price as the acrylic i got from photo frame shop provided that there are loose pieces ard. just my 2 cents cheers n regards |
