SG's population is ageing. Very soon, if many elderly people are without jobs, then it potentially presents problems to the government both financially and socially. They anticipated it so now, they are coming up with all sorts of schemes and policies to make sure that people work as long as they can.
A child needs to struggle through childhood in studies. Then its off to NS followed by Uni or what have you. Then move on to real world and into another rat race. Form a family, make ends meet, slog till old and still have to continue working. What the heck..... |

Civil service to take the lead. Employ those >40yrs old good enough then start talking about simi 65, 90, 100 yrs old.
