He will eat the follow:
Daphnia,
Tubifex Worm,
Blood worm that grow themself inside the tanks,
and sometime mosquito larvea.

Just to let you know also, my fish are keep in fish farm. It very different from home. I can put the male inside to take care of the fries coz I do disturb them often.

Please also be aware that once the male got frighten or offended, he will start eating fries..

I believed that there`s some kind of telegraphy between father & his fries. It seems to me that for all my spawn, the father will not eat his fries. Some will eat during the eggs period but when they hatch, the male do nothing except taking care of them.

On my previous spawn, I took the father out after the fries are free swimming. When the fries are 1.5 months old, I put back the male into the tank. Suprisingly, the male doesn`t eats them.

For the present spawn, I took the father out after the fries are free swimming also. The father is so uncomfortable in its new environment, he even wants to jump out of the tank! After seeing that, I quickly put it back to the fries tank. That somehow tells me to leave the male inside the fries tank. I feel bad separating them.

That`s why I wrote this thread!
