i tell u how to be a shrimp pro.

step 1: buy a tank, and put water into it
step 2: buy cherry shrimps
step 3: put cherry shrimps into the tank



(because cherries are that hardy XD)

Agreed with you.

Each shrimp has its own requirement. So the earlier recommendations by Shrimptastic were not so correct.

I don't think the soil is suitable. IMO, it is meant for plant use. It may contains copper too which is dangerous for faunas.

Not a good idea for using base fert, soon the fert will leak into water column, if the fert is too high, it will affect certain species or all species of shrimps. And also, there is a chance that even if the shrimps are not affected but fert in water column can caused algae problem.

Try using direct tap water and you let me know whether cherrie shrimps are hardy or not.

I would recommend u using gex soil or ada amazonia soil as gravel.BTW u need to cycle the tank before adding shrimp
