12 weeks per kit (kit I think costs slightly under $50). Works out to be about $4/week.
Take note that the e3 measurements you find online include the length of the "hang on" portion, which will be inside the tank. Last edited by illumnae; 16-01-2013 at 01:38 PM. |

If you don't mind in-tank skimmers taking up some space on your back corner, you can consider the Tunze 9002 or Bubble Magus QQ. The QQ is about $80 first hand and if you can get a 2nd hand set it'll likely be similar in price to the Rio.
You will need to scape to hide it though |

iQ skimmer only gave me pee coloured skimmate. If you got the e3 and dose prodibio, i would say you don't need the hob. Just add a wavemaker for flow and you are set.

Will the E3 be able to filter off those debris cause by the sand or feeding? Don't I need a filter with sponges to filter the water?

Dunno leh, maintain a low bioload and don't overfeed and i think you won't have debris problem. Anything large and unsightly can siphon out

IMO a 1ft tank doesn't require skimmer.. WC will do...
