Eh... seems like a lot of people interested to buy.
These are sold as Malayan shrimps. I know Y618, C328, NA sells them but should be available at all good LFS. Usually one packet of 50 or more cost $10 or less. I get mine 10 for $2. When you buy, they come in a range of uninteresting colours... slight pinkish, yellowish, brownish, clear, etc. I notice that when I put them in my planted tank (24 degrees), they turn redder, some can be low grade sakuras. Now I put them in my pleco tanks (30 degrees) and they all turn this color. I assume it is the temperature. Truely a "rainbow" shrimp. Others with experience with these fellers please feel free to share. |

Are these shrimps hardy?I am worried they might not like the water my current tank has and then they cause an outbreak of disease = massive dying of all my fishies.
Do i really need to regularly test the water with kits and stuff? I dont usually do that. |

In terms of testing, if they are added to a stable tank, I never test as well. End of the day, they are 20c a shrimp... I think test kits are more expensive than that. For your current tank, with the fishes dying and all that, you will probably need a do a complete cleaning including canisters and all before adding lifestock again. |

Saw them at a pack of 50 for 1 red note. Those interested can go and buy.
