I once kept one 12" snakhead with a 14" pearl aro.
The aro tail almost gone.

very big size fish.Dun tink that u would want to keep it.No value at all , but can cook and eat la.Feels disgusted

Use to c them selling as feeder fish.
Very cute so bought a pack home to keep.
But all of them died eventually.
Any tips to keep them survive?

Mysecretroom, Just buy and dump them in dirty water haha. Just joking, For me i jsut do that and they seem to survive, cos when i put them in filtrated and clean water they seem die off. So im not sure wat they really need...

LOL, thanks guys for the reply and for those funny2 replies...hahaha
gt the anti chlorine and hope it will survive..
and yea, tomans, haruans and those kinds prefer dirty water then clean one..
i had reared a few haruans before and everytime after cleaning the water they will knock the aquarium glass hard until once my 4ft tank broke....

haha..was just sharing..

and not sure about the swans, but once in tasik kenyir m'sia, tomans were believed to eat a dead body thrown into the lake...
nt sure if its a true story though but the lake is currently not allowed for fishing i think..

If you ask me, I think toman aka snakehead is one of the most viscious freshwater fish in the world judging by the way it feeds. In the western world, it's considered a species to rid off at all costs. Catch the feeding sessions on youtube and be awed by the gory scenes. Not for the faint-hearted though.
