after so many union/can or whatsoever pple endorsed TT, he only managed to garner about 35% of votes.....this should be considered as embarrassing......those who endorsed him should dig a hole to hide themselves....

There should be a re-election day between TCB and TT otherwise it is very unfair for TCB. Just 0.34%, this is clearly a no win or no lose situation.

Well a win is a win.... Whether we like it or not,... This is a democratic system... Pap has played the cards well, they induced a 4 corner fight. Plus the fact that they did not make it a walk over, we had our chances...
Just the three non pap candidates are selfish lot and think for themselves. Imagine it is a one to one fight.... Even after gotten the certificate of eligibility, the three candidates could sit down and discuss and decide who has or is a better non pap president. They did not and well the silver platter goes to Tony. I also could not understand why there are more than 37000 idiots who do not know how to vote properly... And resulted in so many invalid votes.... Anyway whatever is done is done let's hope that Tony can be a good people president and not disappoint the people who voted for him.... |

haiz.... why bothered to walk all the way to the polling station and made a spolit vote???? Don't vote at least not so TL. The number of spolit votes able to make to a big difference.

I think Straits Times headlines will be Dr Tony Tan received a STRONG MANDATE from Singaporeans to be the republic next President.
