it is useful for moonlight kind of lighting where you dont need a lot of timer around.

Imagine I have 4 timer now to control the MH, atinic blue, 20K t5 & sump light.
headache ...

Yes, very useful tool to control your moonlight leds rather than having a separate analogue/digital timer.

You can pick this up from Sim Lim Tower where there are many misc, practical and useful DIY kits for any hobbyists.

Actually i was also looking into DIYing a lunar tracker, but can't seem to get the i/c for it.

Taken that road too as I couldn't manage to find out what the eprom the supplier is using but it is "protected" by having a black paint over it.
