for example, if you dosed medications and the fish is better, by putting active carbon, it will absorb the medications in the water. It must be removed afterwards, because when overloaded, the carbon will transfer the absorbed medications back to the water.

the safest is still Market Prawn (MP) but it is tough to train the aro..
my aro still eat pui eat pui Superworm dont say MP...

Cricket from LFS feeds on Oatmeal and is quite clean.. I dun feed dead ones found in the pack to him only healthy one..

also my naughty aro now bite me when he is hungery or whenever i walk pass the tank...even when i already fed him 10 sw
hi,

Appreciate for enlightening! MP huh, gee.. rather tedious isnt it? have to remove the shells especially its head then wash thoroughly, but I suppose if that's wat the aro. wants! haiz...

Ya ya.. my aro. oso spits both the Mealworms and i tried One piece of SW also same outcome! Aiyu really head and heartache man!

Last resort then try crickets lol, what I'll do next is start putting Vitamins for its appetite and still try to train it to eat Mealworm or SW then see how it goes...
Cross my fingers it'll work!

cheers,

Not sure if your aro is suffering from the same problem though.....
hi,

well, that was what I thought of too since the aro's reaction to the food was evident! and tats y I started medication on it for two occasions and several sessions oredi, plus two different types too!

till today, it still shows the same symptoms which I do hope is not due to its throat since it has oredi been two weeks now! Well, unless there's something poked on its throat?!.... besides that, all it was fed b4 the problem started was Tetra-Pellets and occasionally Tetra-Krills.

Anyway, I really appreaciate that you shared ur experience and diagnosis to the problem. I can only pray and hope that I'll b able to get it to eat something normal again!!

cheers,

Since you still cycling your tank, feed your aro sparingly till your tank is cycled!

hi,

gee.. tat would not b a problem since its not eating well at all! haiz.. but you've brought up another problem for me to stress on...

I wonder if the Aro will ever be ready for the new tank since it should be weak after going through the sessions of medication and Not eating well! The last thing I would want to do is give it another Shock! That would likely claim its life ya!

so, i guess the tank would have ample time to be cycled thoroughly then...
Thanks for the advise

cheers,

hi,

Thanks for your advise and suggestion, will consider doing that but as of yesterday it seem that my Aro. is getting used to the Mealworms. I'm keeping my fingers crossed still that it will continue to do so... but it's only taking at most 3pieces only the whole day.

oh btw, when you refer to Meat, which sort would you feed the aro.? and do you have to clean it properly b4 feeding? many thanks

cheers,
David T
