dont keep adding more stuff in your water....cuz it might just aggravate your aros situation.
just do a WC....and let it be for a few days. hopefully your aro will eat by then. sometimes aros are just stressed out w/ its new environment. As long as your aro is active and healthy.......and not staying on the bottom.....he will be ok. Once he settles down to his new enviroment.....he will eat good luck bro |

1.) add blackwater 2.) add black background 3.) turn on/off (whichever makes your aro feel less panicky) 4.) lessen the traffic in front of your fish (noice, too much movement, etc.) doing such things...will help your aro becomes less stress.....and adapt to its new environment faster. by the way have you checked your water parameters? ammonia, ph, nitrite, nitrate, temp? anything that is bad...will cause your aro to stress out. a stressed out aro...will have a tendency to get sick......or not eat oh before i forget....some aros tend to starve for a month or two. but hang in there bro.....i know your aro will eat one day! good luck to you and your aro! |

It is 12am (midnite)....almost sat by the way.....what I meant by....turning on/off your light is...........Some aros tend to be more calm when lights are on. But some are more calm when the lights are off. So try to find out.....if your aro likes it w/o lights or w/ lights.....and whatever he wants...do that! get a test kit.....and measure your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph and etc. Your tank might not be fully matured....and ammonia and nitrite spikes can occur. If that happens, aro tend to become sick or lose appetite......and worse die so make sure....your water parameter is good. test your ph.......make sure it is around 6-7.5 .....too high or too low....can kill your fish too so good luck! |
