i use kapur for my cabinet. strong enough to support my 5ft. chengai will cost about twice the price of kapur and because chengai wood is very hard, wood working will be tough.

The best in terms of durability for wooden stand:

a) Chengai
b) Malau
c) Kapor

Above ranking also applies to the cost as well.

Fyi, it is very difficult to tell the difference between chengai and malau wood especially for layman like us.

For the support Kapor wood or Chengai wood will be good enough liao... as for the side board and door.... well nyoto wood is good also!!

yah chengai is my choice
