The hard shell from SW cause indigestion and swollen anus may occur, especially SW is solely fed. Good to have a variety of food and fed SW sparingly. Suggest you do not feed your fish for a few days.

Just to add, best to feed SW which is white (shed off the shell)
Cheers!

Adding more SW to the stomach to digest won't help either.

Bro,

I am the one that has just cured the swollen anus of my fish.......I tried pimafix.....fish on froggy diet only......but the problem keeps relapsing every time.

Until I spoke to Vetduck. Went to his clinic to to buy the medication, dose Closantel just twice. The problem seems to go away.

The swollen anus has been gone for a week, but I am still monitoring very closely.

From my "study", I find that MP(even with shell) is more digestible than froggies. Cos when the fish went on a big feast of frog or mp the last time, the SA seems to be more aggravated whenever the diet is on froggies. Also, the black faeces from the frog diet also seems more hard and packed, whereas the orange faeces from the MP diet seems to be loose. Just my personal observation.

Hope you can cure the SA soon.
