regarding about the whitish colour, i think it's a dead tissue. As the tissues die, it sloughs off and hence you see edges like that on your aro's fins.

hi bro i think this few day the east area water no so good my also got these thing (slime),just add raw salt and medication for slime and increase the temp to 1 to 2 degree higher,should be ok.

hmmm i always take care of my water. all my fish r healthy except for my aro tail. my frenz say tat maybe e aro is stress. could it be possible??

usually it is due to water quality
Has nothing to do with stress.
Mantain good water quality, add salt, add melafix and heater should do the trick

but Polyterus n catfish cant tolerate salt rite??

Wah melafix is used for a few things
Cant seem to recall now but one of it is to treat fin n tail rot, open wouds and some fungustreatment if not mistaken
It also serves as antibacteria thing
