Yes it does affects BB. Why do you have to worry so much about BB in a treating process? The Jap Yellow Powder would kill off some but not all. They can propagate faster than you can kill off. For yellow powder treatment, I would recommend do it separately in a Q.Tank. Thus you wont have to have rack your head how to remove the yellow residue later as they inhibits BB growth.
