Already added AC for 3 days, but notice that there are many small round black dot appeared on the back of the fish. However, the fish still eat well. Will continue to monitor, and WC (15%) every three days with addition of salt and anti-chlorine. How about other bros here who have the same problem? Have yr fishes recovered? Maybe like to share yr solution or experience on treating this disease. |

I don't think what you've got is a disease. I could offer a few possibilities. Trauma to scales, chlorine burn, early signs of rust disease etc.
If it's trauma or chlorine burn, then just regular water change with aged water, salt & epsom salts at 0.1% should be sufficient. If the scales have been traumatised, then it might take several weeks for them to recover & look normal again. Scales will regenerate as do nails in humans. Monitor to see if the lesions progress further. If they get worse, then you need to provide better pics & more info of the problem then. Cheers. |

And, also like to offer my apologize to you (and the rest of the aro-medic) for any offening words. To come back to the fish issue, it only happened only the day after I put in the AC. Do you have any pic on Traumatised scales? |

I think my fish has cured.
Thanks for the advise from bros in the forum. For those bros who have fishes having the same disease (esp bro chuckII who fish has the same problem), maybe you can add in AC to remove all the chemical, impurities...etc and then WC. Only add Stress coat antichlorine, salt (0.1%) and espom salt (0.1%) and ketapang leaves. WC every about 3-4 days and observe for about 2 weeks. This is what I have done to cure my fish. No guarantee it can sure cure yr fish. |

Hi Leo,
your Aro might have a bit of chip scales after this problem. Mine kanna lor. Actually mine kanna a few times liao. That ARO very sensitve to water conditions. Even when i already age the water for 3 days with anti chlorine also will kanna. Imediately after WC i notice white stuff with very small bubbles hanging on ARO's body. So what i did was immediately add salt a bit more anti chlorine and air bubbles at full blast. The problem goes aways the next day or 2. The thing is be calm and don panic |
