After one year of waiting they finally bred for me!!! I was shock to see two ottos in my tank one day when I only have one inside. Thats until i realised that it was a L46 fry. So i went on a search and found three of them under a cave created under a cave, cuddling together. I also found another 2 locations where they are hiding, but i cant do a headcount. Too well covered and its beside the alpha male cave. However, i also realise that the beta male is constantly lurking on top of the alpha males cave. While the female is occupying the beta's cave. The fries are already free swimming and zooming around, around 1.5cm

i tried not changing water for almost two weeks before and the nitrate nitrite still reads 0ppm. i doubt the curly fry will stay that way! i think they lines will straighten out as they grow older! anyway most of the time i only change water once a week, around 40% water change. |
