it's a great DIY idea, but most importantly it has to match your tank's setting. a nice fountain would look awkward if it doesnt seem right..

I think we can use co2 atomizer to create a column of very fine bubble to replace the sand. Instead of sand falling down it will be a very fine air column raising up. The effect should be as awesome.

that is pretty darn cool! how long does that sand keep pumping out though? Seems like a LOT of sand comes out...can it sustain it at that rate for long periods of time?
